Welcome to the Annual Meeting of the SF2M 2025 !

 

The French Society for Metallurgy and Materials is honored to host you at its 2025 Annual Conference, to be convened in Villeneuve d'Ascq in the Hauts-de-France region at the esteemed Centrale Lille Institut.

This event is part of the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Society.

These thematic days will gather specialists and newcomers around materials science and engineering, notably in link with major societal challenges. 

This Annual Meeting will in partricular address aspects related to Additive manufacturing and Materials for healthcare.

Part of the conferences are supported by the French GdR CNRS Biomim (2088) scientific society, in link with bioinspiration and biomimetim.

These days provide a unique opportunity to engage in discussions on a broad range of topics related to Materials Science, while also allowing for in-depth exploration of selected themes.

This year, particular emphasis will be placed on the following three thematic areas:

  • Materials for Health,

  • Additive Manufacturing of Large-Scale Components: Applications in Transportation and Energy,

  • Attractiveness of Careers in Materials Science: What Opportunities for Young People?

 

These themes will be addressed through round-table discussions, technical workshops, and site/laboratory visits. Moreover, numerous invited expert speakers will be present!

Additionally, a poster session will be held to showcase research on other topics within the field of Materials Science.
